Claiming a Player Profile When Signing Up for UTR

What Is A Player Profile? Great question, a player profile is a web page where a player’s rating, match history, and preferences are stored.

Every player at must claim or create a player profile. You can sign up for UTR by downloading our app here.

You'll create a player profile during sign-up if you're new to tennis or don't have any scores recorded in our system.

You'll claim a player profile if you already have some play history online. Your player profile may already exist, but you'll need to claim it in order to make changes and customize.

Here’s How To Get Started!

Step 1: Go to

Step 2: Click Join at the top-right corner of the page

Step 3: Enter your email address and a password and click Sign Up With Email

Step 4: Enter your profile info! Note that if you’re signing up for your child, this information and e-mail address should be uniquely their own as each child needs their own account at

Step 5: Click Continue as a player

What happens if a message pops up saying I may already have a UTR? You (or your child) could already have a player profile at - now you need to claim it. Click Yes, this is me on the information that matches you and claim your profile.

If you see a message that says the profile has already been claimed, STOP! Your player profile has already been claimed. This normally isn't a case of a bandit grabbing up your profile - typically another family member made a profile for you (or your kiddo) and is a step ahead.

You can do one of the following:

  • Ask your family members if they claimed the profile and request the login information and continue to use the UTR account that has claimed the profile.

That’s it! Once you have your player profile, you can view your results or sign up for Events!
