This article will take you through the process of creating draws. If you're more of a video person, check out this one, or just keep reading.
Once registration has closed you are able to create your draws. To get started select the Create Draws button on your event page, seen here.
Hint: If you've previously created a draw for this event, the button you are looking for will be Edit Draws instead of Create Draw.
When the draw creation page opens, all of the players that have registered for the division will appear.
On the left hand side of the page, you’ll see the word Draws with three horizontal lines above it. Move your cursor over the 3 horizontal lines on the left side of the screen to open the Draws Drawer. Here you can select the draw you would like to use or click the + sign to create a new draw.
You can change the name of the draw or the size of the draw here by clicking Edit.
You'll see all the players that have registered for your event here. They will be categorized under All, Not Placed, Placed, or Players not in this Draw. In order for them to be moved into the draw, you'll need to move them into the Not Placed category first. Select their names and click Add to Draw if they are not currently sitting in Not Placed.
Hint: The option to move will appear after you select players to move. It will appear to the left of the Auto-Fill option.
Once players have been added to the draw, your Player Bank will look something like this.
Next, click Auto-Fill and the players will be placed into the draw automatically.
You'll see a message like this:
Once you click confirm, the draw will be automatically filled. Want to make changes to the draw? No problem. Click the player’s name in the match you’d like to swap out and use the drop down to make a new selection.
Once you have the players placed in the draw to your liking, you can then enter in times, dates, and locations for the matches. You have the option to do this by round by clicking the “Set Location, Date and Time” under the round or by individual matches, by clicking the “Set Date & Time” on the match box.
Here is an example Round Robin Draw. You can see the set location, date and time button underneath Round 1 or 2 and within each individual match box.
Once the times are entered, you can then choose to Publish the draws. Publishing draws makes them visible to anyone viewing the main event page. To Publish the draws, click the Publish button on the top right of the page. Then you can select each draw you would like to Publish. Please note that only the draws that are checked will be published.
Hint: If you ever need to unpublish the draw, simply uncheck the boxes and click publish. Only draws checked will continue to be published.
Once the draws have been published, you will then be taken to the event homepage. There you can scroll down and click on the “Draws” tab to view the draws. Here you can filter through the published draws and print your draws by pushing the ctrl+p keys on your computer and clicking 'Print as PDF'.
Congrats, you've just created your Draw!
